The Difference You Make : The Sr. Associate, Project Management is considered a subject matter expert providing guidance on complex, strategic projects. They are responsible for developing a strategic direction of the relevant business area, and both defines and manages the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure. The incumbent resolves risks, issues and dependencies, and measures and monitors program actuals, forecasts and budgets and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information. The Sr. Associate collaborates and bridges the key operating areas of Santander by identifying and helping to prioritize competing needs of the overall business. Critical to success is the ability to build internal relationships with colleagues, attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage up. Reports program and project status to the required executive level through steering committees. The incumbent secures, leads, motivates and inspires the internal & external resources required to deliver the program, and is responsible for establishing the program governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders).

• Provides end-to-end project management ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risks and issues management for a portfolio of project supporting various business lines.
• Collaborates with business leader's partners to support and help create a compelling product vision, strategy and roadmap, and drive products and features from concept to launch in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
• Provides program direction and leadership; effectively communicating program updates including project health and project status (plans, key metrics, and budgets) to executive sponsors, business stakeholders and project team members in line with appropriate governance.
• Develops presentations, dashboards, reports and other team and executive level project communications and documentation.
• Participates in business case development, writing, and delivery, cost-benefit analysis, ROI-projections as well as the entire project funding process.
• Engages and develops a high functioning team to deliver business results, with a forward-looking emphasis on mitigating risks and removing roadblocks.
• Performs project planning with applicable stakeholders to establish an overall project definition and plan, including key milestones, and drives progress to achieve project plan within time and budget constraints. Understands and coordinates sequencing of projects to accomplish progress.
• Supports complex initiatives affecting multiple functions or businesses.
• Develops, communicates and implements project risk mitigation plans (i.e. identifies critical path, documents, plans for Return to Green, business continuity plan, etc.) to effectively monitor risk and enable accountability and responsibility.
• Evaluates existing processes and procedures. Makes recommendations and drives process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, etc.) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Fosters collaboration and teamwork between internal resources and third parties / vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
• Contributes to the development, testing, and refinement of digital innovations.
• Collaborates with Risk partners to support the closure of third party, self-identified, and / or audit findings.

What Else You Need To Know : The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum : $90,000.00 USD

Maximum : $160,000.00 USD
