Key Responsibilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management position and will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Eligible for or possess a South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Candidates may be recent graduates or nearing completion of their program.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must be licensed in South Carolina or eligible for licensure. BLS certification is required. Must maintain NBRC credentials. Candidates hired before June 2016 may hold CRT certification.
New hires after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation, or employment will be terminated.
NRP and PALS certifications are necessary for independent work in NICU and PICU settings.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential.
