Clinic Hours :
- Monday - Friday : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
- Saturday : 9 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM
- Sunday : Closed
As a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant or Technician , you’ll work 33+ hours per week (66+ hours per bi-weekly pay period) and be a core member of our medical team. Your role will include hands-on patient care, client interaction, and clinical support for our doctors and fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties :
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and diagnosticsCollect samples for lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)Administer medications (oral, topical, injections) under supervisionPrepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areasPatient Care :
Safely handle and restrain pets of all sizes and temperamentsMonitor patients pre- and post-operativelyProvide post-treatment care and support recoveryAccurately document patient charts and medical recordsClient Interaction :
Greet and assist clients during check-in and dischargeEducate clients on at-home care, medications, and follow-up needsHelp create a welcoming, professional, and supportive experienceRelay patient updates to clients with clarity and compassionAdministrative Support :
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient flowProcess client payments and help maintain financial recordsHelp maintain inventory and restock supplies as neededSupport general clinic cleanliness and compliance with protocolsWhat We’re Looking For
Experience & Education :
Previous experience in a veterinary assistant or technician role requiredFamiliarity with veterinary software, terminology, and proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredVeterinary Assistant Certification (CVA) or Veterinary Technician degree is a plus , but not requiredSkills & Attributes :
Excellent communication and client service skillsStrong animal handling skillsTeam-first mentality with a compassionate, dependable work ethicOrganizational and multitasking abilities in a clinical settingEmotional intelligence and a genuine love for animalsThis is a full-time position , requiring 33+ hours per week (or 66+ hours per pay period ). You’ll have a consistent schedule with flexibility to adjust based on clinic needs.
