Job Title : Technical Team Lead Location : Bridgeport, CT

Summary : The Technical Team Lead is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and performing engineering support functions for plant operations and maintenance. This includes providing engineering support for safety, environmental compliance, and contract compliance at the plant. The role also involves providing technical support for daily operations, plant improvements, process improvements, and analyzing plant breakdowns to recommend corrective actions. Additionally, the Technical Team Lead serves as the technical contact point for insurance issues and is responsible for overall plant engineering function and IT support.

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Establish goals and objectives for the engineering group and organize various functions within the department
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plant-specific performance monitoring
  • Manage plant improvements and capital process
  • Implement and maintain a tracking system for plant issues
  • Identify developing equipment issues and assist in preventative maintenance activities
  • Evaluate equipment failures and assist with Root Cause Analysis
  • Maintain and update plant drawing files and equipment information
  • Control engineering expenditures and provide input for budgetary process
  • Provide technical support for bid specifications and contractor work performance
  • Assure IT Administration and software changes are completed safely
  • Interface and support other departments in achieving their goals
  • Coordinate with external contacts and plant personnel to resolve problems and exchange information
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with safety / environmental policies and procedures

Education / Experience Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of ten years of relevant power plant-related experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of power plant operations and maintenance components
  • Proficient knowledge of computer and control systems
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct engineering programs
  • Experience supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Professional Engineering license in the state of Connecticut (strongly encouraged)
  • Proficiency in English language
