Your Job

Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking an  IT Architect responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical capabilities. This person will be accountable for the technology vision, strategy, and execution of our endpoint, mobility, collaboration products / services, Identity, Low-Code platforms and Classic Infrastructure applications. Your business acumen and technology expertise will be essential for facilitating effective communication, collaboration, and the delivery of technology products / services. responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT capabilities to define problems / opportunities, design, and implement IT solutions that achieve operational excellence and desired business results.
  • Provide both strategy and technical expertise in endpoint, mobility, and collaboration technologies (emphasis on Microsoft 365), including integration with the overall IT solution stack.
  • Evaluate and select technology for Mobility (MDM), Endpoint, Productivity and Collaboration (O365), Low-Code(Power Platform), and Traditional Applications Architectures using Windows Servers (3-tier apps).
  • Create repeatable reference architectures, design patterns, and configuration standards
  • Produce clear technical design documents (technical diagrams, work process diagrams, TCO / ROI analyses, risk analysis)
  • Perform alternatives analysis with clearly defined problems / opportunities and clear objectives with clear alignment to the business's functional requirements.
  • Design application architectures for classic on-premises and virtualized environments
  • Create, document, and refine work processes, governance models, and runbooks to drive consistency and efficiency
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and performance issues
  • Influence cross-functional teams and external partners without direct supervisory authority
  • Define and enforce SLAs, KPIs, and success criteria; lead governance and performance reviews
  • Participate in change advisory boards to advocate for our customers and understand how changes potentially could impact us
  • Manage IT projects and coordination of resources, ensuring quality of delivery within time, budget, and scope.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of IT architecture or Senior Systems Engineering experience, including hands-on design and implementation
  • Experience with multiple infrastructure technology pillars (endpoint, mobility, compute, storage, network, security, etc.) and their management tools
  • Expertise in Windows Server Management, Active Directory, DNS, Networking, and Windows File Shares
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, etc.
  • Practical Experience with Cloud Architecture design (AWS or Azure)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at tailoring messages for technical, executive, and nontechnical audiences
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to deliver results
  • Strong technical, critical-thinking, and economic-thinking skills
  • What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures on AWS or Azure
  • Proven success managing MSP relationships and SLAs
