Pay Rate : $15.00 per hour

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 30 PM]

Position Overview :

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our clinical reference laboratory team in Carrollton, TX. This entry-level role is essential to the laboratory workflow, supporting the pre-analytical phase of testing by preparing and organizing patient samples for laboratory analysis.

Responsibilities :

Receive and unpack incoming shipments of clinical specimens

Verify package contents against shipping manifests

Sort and organize specimen tubes by type and test requirements

Uncap and prepare sample tubes for laboratory processing

Accurately label and re-label specimens as needed

Dispose of packaging materials and biohazard waste according to lab protocols

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Assist with data entry and logging of specimen information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)

Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times

Communicate clearly with lab technicians and supervisors about any irregularities or damaged samples

Perform other basic support duties as assigned

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions

Basic computer skills preferred

Comfortable working with biological specimens and within a lab environment

Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic

Salary :

$15 / hour
