Compensation : $18.00 per hour

A Salem manufacturing company that makes dual rubber coating solutions for protecting roofs, basements, foundations, decks, floors, walls, sidings and bathrooms has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Shipping Clerk to join their team!

The primary purpose of the Shipping Clerk position is to prepare the Company’s products for shipping by packaging and palletizing, and loading outgoing pallets on to trucks. The position also assists the Production department with pouring operations and miscellaneous responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities for Shipping Clerk :

  • Packaging products to be shipped to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Notifying Order Entry when freight has picked up.
  • Shrink wrapping and labeling products
  • Prepare and palletize products for LTL shipments
  • Monitor packaging supply quantities and initiate reorder
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications for Shipping Clerk :

  • Ability to regularly lift and / or move 50-60 pounds
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Superior prioritization skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform basic math skills
  • Multi-tasking capability
  • Willingness to learn and be self-motivated
