Opportunity available for a Azure Cloud Architect to drive an ongoing enterprise initiative to migrate environment—including databases and applications—to Microsoft Azure. This role will provide technical leadership and enterprise architecture oversight. The ideal candidate has deep Azure experience, strong data-centric architecture knowledge, and excellent communication skills, as collaboration with the existing architecture team will be critical to the project's success.
Responsibilities
- Support the enterprise migration initiative to Azure, including databases, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
- Define and implement enterprise-level architecture for Azure solutions.
- Collaborate closely with other architects and cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and successful project execution.
- Guide and instruct DBAs and developers in ETL design processes, ensuring best practices for data integration and transformation.
- Work with Azure Data Factory, Data Lakes, Databricks, and other data-centric Azure services to support migration and modernization.
- Provide expertise in cloud infrastructure, including Terraform, Azure Fabric, and dedicated Spark pools.
- Maintain a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance in all Azure deployments.
- Support upcoming initiatives in AWS as needed (experience is a plus).
- Document architecture, maintain diagrams, and provide governance for cloud adoption.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with strong focus on Azure enterprise implementations and migrations.Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lakes, Databricks, and other data-centric tools.Proven ability to work with teams of DBAs and developers on enterprise-level initiatives.Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals and enterprise cloud migration best practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage back-and-forth with multiple stakeholders.Local candidates only – must be able to work hybrid with onsite presence.No C2C candidates – W2 employment only.ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
