Strategic planning and oversight of clinical programs including Geriatrics, Hospice, Palliative care, and Community Living Centers. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance geriatric care and address the needs of aging veterans. Implementation of policies, protocols, and standards in line with the VHA mission. Supervision, mentorship, and training of medical staff and healthcare professionals within the GEC service line. Improvement of healthcare outcomes through quality improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making. Representing the GEC service on various committees and working groups. U.S. Citizenship. Board certification in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine. Valid medical license to practice in the United States. Minimum of five years of clinical practice, with experience in geriatrics and extended care. Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
