JOB LOCATION : Dallas, Texas

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, including policy management, VPN setup, and threat prevention features.
  • Manage switches, including configuration, VLAN setup, and performance optimization.
  • Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades, including patching and firmware updates.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, throughput, and connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including access control, segmentation, and logging.
  • Collaborate with the security team to investigate and respond to security incidents.
  • Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, IP schemas, and configuration backups.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Proven experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches, and wireless access systems.
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts and protocols (TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, OSPF, and BGP).
  • Familiarity with network segmentation, ACLs, and general security best practices.
  • Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark and LogicMonitor).
  • Ability to read, produce, and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting high-availability network environments.
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
  • Certifications such as FortiNet NSE4 or higher, Cisco CCNA / CCNP.
