Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal NDT Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA .

What you will get to do :

Set-up and conduct non-destructive tests to include Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Radiographic methods to determine acceptability. Establish testing procedures and methods, such as shooting sketches. Monitor manufacturing processes and operations, conduct tests and inspections to assure compliance. Weld visual inspection experience required. Train and certify Level II NDT Inspectors.

This position may specialize in the areas of design, product evaluation, metrology and / or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal NDT Engineer :

• A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience; OR a High School Diploma / GED and 12 or more years of relevant manufacturing experience

The ideal candidate :

Primary Level Salary Range : $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
