About the Role
The Company is in need of an Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide both strategic and operational leadership during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's daily operations across various departments, including finance, HR, IT, and facilities. This role requires close collaboration with the executive team to implement strategic priorities, identify areas for operational improvement, and develop scalable systems and processes. The Interim COO will also be tasked with driving key projects, managing and developing direct reports, and acting as a liaison between field locations and corporate leadership to ensure consistent communication and support. Applicants for the Interim COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A proven track record in a senior operational leadership role, particularly in a mid-sized or growth-stage organization, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business functions, experience in change management, and the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization. Experience in the facilities industry is a plus. The role demands exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to translate operational performance into strategic insights when working with the Board of Directors. A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel regionally within a 50-mile radius are also required.
