Job Title : Quality Engineer II

Job Description

The Quality Engineer II plays a critical role in ensuring product and process quality by applying statistical and analytical methods to assess quality performance and cost-of-quality. This position is responsible for developing and implementing inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures to guarantee the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, and technical quality documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and contracts.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify non-conforming products or materials, assign responsibility, and collaborate with product development teams to provide quality input.
  • Monitor quality trends, coordinate corrective actions with customers and suppliers, and perform in-house and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop programs to enhance supplier performance, prepare detailed quality reports, and evaluate proposed changes in materials or methods.
  • Compile training materials and deliver training sessions on quality control activities to support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards across the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.
  • American Society for Quality certification desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering / assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and manufacturing functions.
  • Proficient in standard business applications software and / or specialized data analysis tools.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Six Sigma and Lean tools experience is desired.
  • Experience in maintaining and improving QS9000 / ISO9000 and TS16949 Systems is desired.
  • Work Environment

    The work environment for the Quality Engineer II includes working with various technologies and equipment related to inspection and quality assurance. The position may require working in cleanroom settings and involves regular interaction with team members, suppliers, and customers. Standard business hours apply, with potential for additional hours as projects demand.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00 / yr.
