Job Description :

We are seeking a detail oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced Surgical Dermatology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in advancing their clinical skills in a surgical setting!

Beverly Hospital offers Mohs micrographic surgery to treat certain types of skin cancer. Our specialists use Mohs surgery to treat basal and squamous cell carcinomas on certain body areas where it is important to preserve tissue for functional or cosmetic purposes. These include a variety of body parts :

Eyelid

Fingertip

Lip

Nose

We also can use Mohs surgery to treat tumors that have returned after surgery or to treat malignant melanoma.

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director, Director of Site Operations or assigned manager / Site Manager in Collaboration with the Associate Chief of Ambulatory Nursing Practice, provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in a variety of healthcare settings. Medical Assistants work in collaboration with the physician(s), or other health care provider(s), other ambulatory support staff within the department, and with other disciplines, to deliver patient care.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : 1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.

Licensure, Certification, Registration : CCMA

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to communicate with patients, family members, physicians and other health care providers, as well as other colleagues. Knowledge of medical terminology. Must possess strong problem solving abilities and analytical skills to ensure patient's needs are met. Must possess basic computer skills to input and retrieve clinical information, as well as patient registration and appointment information. Utilizes critical thinking and good judgement in performance of tasks. Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to multitask and to prioritize daily assignments to ensure smooth work flow

Pay Range : $21.00 - $28.26

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
