We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join an innovative engineering team based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will design and develop test routines and infrastructure to exercise and validate software and hardware components for satellite mission programs.

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for software and hardware systems
  • Work closely with program and team leadership to manage test plans and implement test frameworks
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Create and execute system-level verification, validation, integration, and test plans
  • Continuously improve testing processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Rapidly prototype software to prove design concepts and support hardware-in-the-loop system development
  • Collaborate with internal and third-party partner organizations
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues, including across software-hardware interfaces

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably within aerospace or defense
  • Proficiency in Python and experience in software test development
  • Familiarity with C, modern C++, Bash, Linux, Git, and Docker
  • Knowledge of cloud services and modern CI / CD practices
  • Experience or interest in Rust
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, software / hardware integration
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Compensation and benefits

  • Salary range : $105,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
