Head of Security Engineering

A company is looking for a Head of Security Engineering to build and lead their security engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain a security program that meets regulatory standards

Drive product security and detection and response across the lifecycle

Oversee day-to-day IT and endpoint operations until the team is staffed

Required Qualifications and Education

Experience in establishing a security program and setting high standards

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance teams, particularly in a security context

Hands-on experience with security engineering, including implementing controls and building detection capabilities

Ability to write code and develop security policies that satisfy auditors

Experience managing compliance and regulator readiness across SOC 2 and NYDFS
