This is a Hybrid position or can be remote) Schedulers provide the output for our centralized scheduling paradigm.

This is a critical function that affects nearly every aspect of the student’s experience at SCI. Efficient and accurate student scheduling is key to maintaining compliance and for providing the best possible student experience. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks are fundamental skills required in this position.

Responsibilities :

Ensure that Southern Careers Institute’s philosophy of Student First is a priority when carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position;

Be completely familiar with the scheduling method for each of SCI’s programs;

Create grids for future student scheduling;

Create classes within the SIS into which students are scheduled;

Register students into classes;

Maintain desired overall student-to-instructor ratios;

Communicate with other departments with downstream dependencies (e.g., Online campus, IT, etc.);

Find and rectify missing or incomplete schedules;

React immediately to rectify scheduling errors;

Reschedule classes with F grades;

Plan future schedules for reentry students for FA planning;

Assist campuses with schedule changes when needed; Adjust student schedules as needed to assist student with improving academic status;

Take proactive measures to ensure prompt resolution of any potential obstacles

Requirements :

2-5 years of experience in same or related field;

Strong understanding of regulatory procedures and compliance;

Knowledge of curriculum and graduation requirements; Knowledge of academic student record keeping in a setting of higher education.

Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

Strong verbal communication, written communication, listening, record keeping and information management;

Clear and succinct communication, both verbally and in writing with a diverse community, student population and with team members at all levels of the company Proactive and responsive communication regarding scheduling issues and progress
