job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThe EKG lab is a small but dynamic and collaborative group of patient focused staff. Join our fast-paced environment for this unique opportunity to learn the world of cardiac monitoring and patient care. Perform technical skills to accurately assess the status of each patient Educate patients and document patient interactions Practice infection control Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care Perform EKGs Place external monitors Support AICD & pacemaker clinic by rooming patients and prepping charts Prepare patients for cardiac Stress Testing At least 6 months experience performing 12 lead EKG's Basic EKG training Current BLS from the American Heart Association National EKG Registry Cardiology Experience 4 months experience performing Stress Testing
This is a benefited, full time position working 8-hr shifts Monday - Friday with variable start times between 7am-8 : 30am with a 30 minute lunch. No weekends or holidays. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion in La Jolla.
