Job Summary / Basic Function :
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION : The Director of Emergency Medical Services’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing leadership, supervision and administrative support related to the Emergency Medical Services program, and providing the expertise and knowledge to support the institution curriculum and programs. This position is responsible for instructing students using a variety of effective methodologies and providing support activities that encourage student learning. The role encompasses teaching and learning, academic advising, professional development and institutional and community service. This is an exempt staff position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
TRAVEL REQUIRED : Ability to travel to approved LIT training sites
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : This position requires the ability to : remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine; frequently move items and equipment typically found in an EMS environment, up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
