The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) is seeking an Educational Program Director. This position is responsible for executing various functions related to instructional materials and library media. The incumbent must communicate with, motivate, provide or coordinate training, and direct the work of subordinates. Additionally, the employee must complete timely performance appraisals, develop work plans, and approve attendance and leave for each position under his / her direct report.

The duties and responsibilities include coordinating with Curriculum Planning and Learning Management System (CPALMS) personnel, administering the state instructional materials adoption program, supervising the preparation and distribution of subject area specifications for state adopted instructional materials, and providing leadership and technical support to district library media supervisors. The ideal candidate must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple priorities, and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions. The minimum qualifications include effective communication skills and the ability to travel.
