Summary

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-driven Plant Engineer to improve efficiency, safety, and quality across plant operations. You will partner with Plant Management to identify process improvements, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure smooth, cost-effective production. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in both office and production environments.

Responsibilities

Identify cost-saving opportunities in labor, overhead, and materials
Perform and report time studies, presenting findings to management
Assess production challenges and recommend actionable improvements
Support daily plant productivity and reliability
Review production practices, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
Conduct ROI analyses for capital improvement projects
Investigate safety incidents and disciplinary matters
Provide material take-offs for upcoming projects
Develop optimized production schedules
Participate in weekly safety and quality meetings

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, piece parts, and shop drawings

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical ability to spend time both at a computer and on the production floor, occasionally lift 50 lbs, and work in varying environmental conditions
