Job Description
Purpose :
Sells new and used consumer equipment and provides product expertise and support to customers and dealership personnel. Proactively engages customers to invest in the products and services of Deer Country Farm & Lawn.
Responsibilities :
- Represents the Company for the sale of machinery to residential customers in store
- Educates customers on their equipment purchases and maintains relationship after the sale
- Generates new customer leads and develops customer referrals
- Answers store telephone and completes all sales orders and documentation promptly thoroughly courteously and accurately
- Adheres to defined sales process including call reports & CRM upkeep
- Captures and records all customer information
- Work towards Company and individual sales goals as defined by Manager
- Demonstrates a genuine concern for Company as a whole by promoting teamwork and maintaining positive attitude
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all dealership equipment
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers
- Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and follows evaluation process for trades
- Monitors competitive activity / products and communicates to management
- Helps with inventory management (i.e. loading & unloading trucks equipment setup oversight display upkeep etc.)
- Exhibits outstanding communication skills and cooperates with other departments and locations within company
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
- Represents Company at applicable events / seminars

Experience Education Skills and Knowledge :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent work experienceExperience : Knowledge of equipment preferred / 1 years equipment sales experienceSkills : Excellent customer relationship skillsAbility to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a groupAbility to analyze and interpret basic sales reportsTravel : N / AWorking Conditions : Must be flexible with hours working most Saturdays mandatoryRequired Experience :
