CNC Machinist (Full-Time)

Industrial Profile Systems – Akron, Ohio.

Hourly / Non-Exempt.

Job Description :

The CNC Machinist will have a minimum of 4 or more years of experience in CNC machine setup, programming, and operation. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, with proficiency reading blueprints is essential for this position. The items to be machined consist of a variety of aluminum and steel plates along with various machine frame weldments. This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings to determine dimensional criteria, tolerances, geometric dimensioning.
  • Perform set-ups and programming for CNC operation.
  • Program machine for operation.
  • CNC machining of parts on Haas Vertical Mill and / or MultiCam Router.
  • Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation.
  • Maintain tooling for the machine as needed.
  • Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be.
  • Provided strong customer support on a as need basis.
  • Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Industrial Profile Systems.
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.

Desired Skills & Experience :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Knowledge and / or experience with Haas controls.
  • Knowledge and / or experience with CAD / CAM Software is a plus but not required.
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details and precision machining.
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments.
