After School Babysitter for School-Aged Children

We are a fun and busy family in Bloomfield, NJ searching for a responsible, caring, and energetic babysitter for our 9-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter. The position starts on September 15, 2025, and ends on December 15, 2025. The babysitter is needed a few days a week, with flexible days and times, primarily after school through early evening, with the possibility for occasional extra hours when parents travel for work.

Responsibilities include picking up the kids from school, assisting with homework and school projects, preparing light meals / snacks, and driving them to sports practices and other after-school activities. Engaging the kids with fun, active, and creative play is encouraged. Additional responsibilities include overseeing care for a small, friendly dog as needed, such as letting it out or taking it for a quick walk.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, and can be a positive role model for our children. Previous experience in childcare, specifically with ages 6-10, is preferred. The candidate must have reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and be comfortable with pets. CPR / First Aid certification is a plus.
