Job Description
A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their growing Austin team. This role is ideal for a superintendent with a strong background in industrial ground up projects, or industrial finish-out projects who can confidently lead fast-paced tenant improvements and interior buildouts from mobilization through closeout.
Superintendent Responsibilities
- Lead projects from mobilization through final completion
- Oversee industrial finish-out and tenant improvement construction activities
- Manage all daily onsite operations , including subcontractors, inspections, and site logistics
- Drive project schedules, production, and sequencing in coordination with the Project Manager
- Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate with design teams, ownership, inspectors, and internal teams
- Track and manage RFIs, inspections, and field documentation
- Conduct subcontractor meetings, daily site walks, and safety meetings
- Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and local codes
- Maintain accurate daily reports and progress updates
