Responsibilities
Schedule visits for medical patients in accordance with insurance guidelines and clinic protocols.
Educate patients about the importance of preventative follow-up care.
Assist patients in understanding their eligibility for preventative care as well as the importance of continuity of care and guide them through the scheduling process.
Maintain accurate records of all outreaches and status of calls.
Confirm benefits to verify coverage for level of service for preventative visits.
Ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to meeting their healthcare needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Customer Service Experience
Preferred
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record system Epic.
Prior experience in healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, or a similar role.
Knowledge of insurance and guidelines for preventative and follow-up care services.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Use of standard office equipment (i.e. telephones, headset with microphone)
Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, team members and clinic staff.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level.
Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentially with patient records.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and relationships effective working relationships with management and all levels of staff.
Ability to maintain and appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
