HOW A UX / UI DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Description Summary :
GDIT is looking for a dynamic, talented and experienced UX and UI Developer who can create front-end applications. This person needs to have the ability to identify alternative design strategies, assess design viability and rapidly transform business requirements into a user interface design. The UX / UI Developer should have experience with aspects of UX design like visual hierarchy, user research and process flow. You will need to be a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced agile environment. This person must have a passion for user-centric design and be a strong communicator. The UX / UI Developer will also need to interact with developers during the implementation phases.
Position Duties :
- Utilizes well defined software processes, such as Agile, to work in a rapid development environment as part of a development team.
- Designs, codes and unit tests front and back-end solutions for integrated systems using packages such as in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Develops integration code to connect and interface systems and services.
- Develops solutions that utilize open standards and ICDs to promote interoperability through service based architectures.
- Analyzes, fixes, and documents DRs on systems.
- Be able to rapidly prototype / mock up solution design, look, feel and aesthetics
- Work with development teams across multiple engagements to design efficient and comprehensible user interfaces given client requirements
- Prepare documentation of all UIs developed
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, experience, and team performance
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to pre-production hand-off to developers.
- Conduct user research and analyze user feedback against design requirements to reflect within design work.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
Requirements :
5 years of professional experience with Bachelor's Degree in Graphic / Web Design, User Experience and / or a web design / development or related discipline.Hands-on experience with Angular and NodeJS.Proven experience of practice knowledge working in Agile Projects from user stories and backlog management to acceptance criteria.Understanding of the User Experience ProcessExcellent problem-solving and communication skills to advocate design principals and approachKnowledge of software development lifecycleKnowledge of user-centered design / human centered design principlesSolid understanding of usability and accessibility standards including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).Ability to interact, navigate and adapt to challenges in an ever-changing environment, managing expectations of customers and multiple teams.Strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.Active TS / SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI poly.Location : On Company Site

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
