Southeastern Virginia Training Center is hiring a part-time weekend Receptionist to join our Security team at our 24-hour facility. The Receptionist is responsible for answering a multi-line phone system and demonstrating a high level of customer service. This position maintains security by following procedures monitoring logbook issuing visitor badges and enforcing access control to the building.

• About the Role
• As the first point of contact for staff individuals and visitors the Weekend Receptionist plays a key role in facility operations and security. Primary responsibilities include :
• Answering and directing calls on a multi-line phone system
• Greeting and assisting visitors while answering general inquiries
• Monitoring visitor activity and video surveillance systems
• Issuing visitor badges and maintaining accurate logbooks
• Enforcing building access control procedures
• Responding to emergency situations including contacting police or fire departments as needed

Work Schedule :

This position is hourly / wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
