Cardiology Job Details

Location : Spokane, WA 99204 (Washington healthcare jobs)

Setting : Inpatient Cardiology Unit

Schedule : 7 consecutive days inpatient, one week per month (Tuesday 7am to Tuesday 7am; variable week)

Shift Duration : 12-hour shifts

Employment Type : Locum tenens physician (Travel Contract)

Patient Encounters Per Shift : 5–13

Start Date : ASAP

Assignment Duration : Ongoing, minimum 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $5,860–$6,940 per week

Physician Qualifications

Active Washington State medical license (required for Washington cardiology jobs)

Board certification in Cardiology

Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology strongly preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience in heart failure and transplant cardiology

Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Ability to take night call and respond to facility callbacks

Key Responsibilities

Deliver inpatient care for patients with advanced heart failure and those undergoing heart transplant evaluation and management

Participate in night call coverage, including facility callbacks

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality clinical support

Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records

Support the ongoing excellence and growth of the cardiology department
