About the Opportunity :

gpac has partnered with a well-established public accounting firm in downtown Hartford that is seeking an experienced Director of Tax Services to join our growing team. This role offers a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate who demonstrates leadership, technical expertise, and client relationship skills. They serve a diverse client base of small to middle market businesses and high-net-worth individuals across various industries.

What You'll Do :

• Lead tax compliance and planning for business and individual clients
• Oversee and review tax returns including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts
• Develop and implement best practices for tax compliance and client service
• Mentor and develop junior staff members
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the firm
