Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Duration : 12 weeks

Shift : 10-hour days; 0600-0630 start time, First to Float

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Required for submission

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Pre or post-op experience

Job Description :

• Float between multiple campuses in the region.
• Operate within 4 cath labs, with typically 3 rooms running at one time.
• Handle approximately 5-7 cases minimum per day, with the potential for up to 15 cases.
• Engage in EP cases, including ICDs, pacemakers, and various ablations.
• Note that special / IR procedures are managed in a separate area, though peripheral and neuro cases are performed.
• Perform circulation and monitoring of cases, with staff cross-trained in case monitoring.
• Scrubbing performed by RCIS and RT techs.
• Work 10-hour shifts, with a start time between 0600-0630, including call requirements of approximately 10-11 days per month, and one weekend.
• Provide care for cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patients.
• IR experience is advantageous, particularly in emergent stroke cases.
• Situated in a region known for its vibrant college town atmosphere.
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
• Utilize the MEDITECH charting system.
• Level 3 trauma care setting.
