RIA Regional Consultant – Northern California, VP II - State Street Investment Management
We are currently hiring for a distribution role at State Street Investment Management within the Client Coverage Group. In this role, you will work with a team of external and internal wholesalers to build relationships with financial advisors in the RIA Channel and provide valuable client solutions that help advisors grow their business using SPDR ETFs, model portfolios and other State Street IM solutions. You will be a reliable and trusted advisor championing the US Wealth Intermediary distribution efforts with Registered Investment Advisory Firms throughout the Northern California region.
As An RIA Regional Consultant
- You will personally own key client and strategic partner relationships as a member of the US Wealth Intermediary Team, covering Registered Investment Advisors, Wealth Managers, Regional RIAs, and local offices of RIA Aggregators across Northern California.
- You will identify client needs and regularly provide meaningful market insights, product information, investment ideas and sales support.
- You will serve as a subject‑matter expert on State Street IM & SPDR ETFs portfolio management, maintaining deep knowledge of positioning, holdings and investment results, and educating clients and prospects on our product line’s features, benefits and differentiators.
- You will cultivate new and existing relationships, driving Net New Revenue and Net New Assets in high‑estate concentration wealth within the channel.
- You will be responsible for leading and coordinating regional travel with various sub‑advisory partners and index providers including the World Gold Council, DoubleLine Capital, Blackstone, Bridgewater Associates and Galaxy Asset Management.
- You will leverage centers of influence and key relationships within the RIA ecosystem, including custody and TAMP partners such as Charles Schwab and Envestnet, and wealth platforms like Ethic, to drive business growth and strategic initiatives.
- You will build and maintain relationships with key internal business partners in Sales, Marketing, Research and Client Enablement to deliver State Street IM and SPDR ETF resources to clients.
- You will partner with the Internal Sales Team to deliver SPDR ETF and State Street IM resources, including comparative analytics, capital markets insights and actionable investment ideas.
- You will facilitate an understanding of State Street IM’s strategy and priorities.
- You will mentor internal peers on the team.
- You will deliver risk excellence and comply with the sales supervision culture that promotes the highest ethical standards.
- You will demonstrate initiative to continuously hone sales skills and pursue professional development.
These Skills Will Help You Succeed In This Role
Bachelor’s degree required.Series 7 and 63 licensed.Investment industry designations such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) desired.Minimum 7 years of experience in the investment management industry, with at least 5 years in sales / business development, preferably with Registered Investment Advisors.Strong technical ability and investment acumen.Strong product knowledge of ETFs, mutual funds, separate accounts and related products.Self‑motivated individual who can work independently and within a team structure.Demonstrates integrity, dedication to excellence and motivation to succeed.Strong leadership skills.Extraordinary verbal and written communication and sales presentation skills.Ability to learn and adapt quickly while applying creativity.Salary Range
$125,000 - $207,500 Annual
