Key Job Details – Boston ICU RN Travel Assignment
Location : Boston, MA 02111 (Massachusetts nursing jobs)
Setting : Adult ICU Float Pool (Cardiovascular Intensive Care, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, and more)
Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse
Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : August 22, 2025 – End : November 21, 2025)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Day / Night : 7am-7 : 30pm & 7pm-7 : 30am), every other weekend required
Orientation : 3 shifts to familiarize with all ICU units
Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2050-$2200
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Strong cardiac nursing background; experience with IABP, Impella, post-op cardiac patients, and CVVH (CRRT)
Proficient in titrating critical care drips (Levo, Vaso, Neo, Propofol, weight-based titratable drugs)
Ability to float between multiple ICU units and intermediate care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in various ICU settings
Float between SICU, MICU, PG5ICU, CCU, NCCU, CSICU, and Pratt 8 IMC unit as needed
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips and medications per physician orders
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and patient care techs
Document patient care using Cerner Soarian charting system
Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development
Communicate effectively with respiratory therapy for ventilator and CPAP / BiPAP management
Adhere to hospital dress code and facility policies
