2026 Project & Change Management Intern (Masters)

As a Project & Change Management Intern at AbbVie you will spend your summer engaged with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders gaining world-class experience within one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. You will support transformative change and impactful communications with Strategic Operations and across Clinical Sciences working with leaders to execute and optimize high value projects and business initiatives.

The Clinical Sciences organization is a collective multi-disciplinary force of science and objectivity that propels ideas into solutions. We act with urgency to push the boundaries of R&D by magnifying people data science and technology to advance AbbVie leadership and transform the possibilities for patients.

Within Clinical Sciences the Strategic Operations organization plays a critical role in conceptualizing designing and implementing strategic projects operations and business process initiatives.

You will collaborate on communications and change management strategies drive project workstreams develop and deliver stakeholder messaging and manage project deliverables to achieve strategic priorities across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

Partner with project managers change management and communications team members as well as subject matter experts to execute cross-functional projects

Lead and participate in project team meetings; advise on solutions to business technical and operational challenges

Produce project status reports and other deliverables monitoring progress and maintaining adherence to best practices

Support the management of project artifacts timelines and strategic solutions to improve business performance

Develop integrate and deliver communication plans to support change initiatives across multiple business functions and audiences

Design align coordinate and implement change management strategies for Clinical Sciences projects

Conduct impact analyses cultural readiness and organizational alignment assessments and stakeholder management for strategic initiatives ensuring tactics support AbbVies objectives and values

Qualifications :

MinimumQualifications

Currently enrolled in university pursuing a Masters (MS) degree in Project Management Organizational Development and or Leadership Innovation / Change Management Leadership Strategic Leadership or other related degree

Exposure to business communications journalism life sciences or project management curriculum

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Demonstrated business acumen and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment

Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship

Expected graduation datebetween December 2026 June 2027

Preferred Qualifications

1 to 2 years of experience in communications change management project management or related function

Experience with strategic communications stakeholder analysis and organizational alignment

Familiarity with emerging communications trends and relevant technologies

Strong project management experience or relevant coursework
