Senior Data Center Operations Technician

Data center engineers have a wide range ofresponsibilities, which can include :

• Monitoringand troubleshooting server, storage, and networking equipment for malfunctionsor failures
• Installingand configuring new servers, storage devices, routers, switches, and othernetwork components
• Conductingcapacity assessments of existing infrastructure to ensure that it can supportfuture growth
• Maintainingdetailed documentation of all server and storage configurations and changesmade to them
• Performingregular backups of data to prevent loss in case of computer failure or theft
• Providingtechnical support for applications and operating systems used in the datacenter
• Writingscripts to automate common processes within the data center environment
• Monitoringenergy usage across the data center to ensure efficient operation
• Conductingenvironmental and air quality tests to ensure compliance with federalregulations
• Must have at least an associate degree or equivalent work experience, with at least 8+ year experience in Information Technologies.
