If you have experience processing Semi monthly payroll with Kronos / UKG / Workforce Dimensions and want to be an integral part of a dynamic and supportive team; keep reading! The Payroll / Human Resources Technician II is responsible for preparing and processing semi-monthly payroll for 250+ employees in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. This position ensures accuracy of payroll records, responds to employee inquiries, and supports Human Resources functions related to timekeeping, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and personnel transactions.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT :
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate's degree in accounting or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :
In addition to satisfying the vocational / educational standard, this class requires a minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES :
Depending on operational needs, may require a valid driver's license and a driving record in compliance with City driving standards .
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and / or City-wide emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience processing City of Chesapeake Semi Monthly payroll is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills needed for this position.
