job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCurrent RN licensure in the state of practice Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in cardiac or critical care Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or cardiac care unit Certification in Cardiac Vascular Nursing (RCVN) or equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures. Collaborate with the cardiology team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac status during procedures
- Assist physicians during catheterization and interventional procedures
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as ordered
- Provide patient education and post-procedure care instructions
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and complications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
