Position Overview

The Novelis Global R&D team located in Kennesaw GA is seeking a Materials Science and Engineering Co-op . This role is responsible for fundamental investigations in aluminum alloy welding alloy design advanced materials characterization and property testing as well as processing development. This co-op will start May 2026 and end December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and perform welding testing on Al alloys.
• Test the mechanical and formability properties of Al alloys under various thermomechanical conditions.
• Perform advanced materials characterization including experiment design sample preparation data collection and post-analysis.
