We are leading a confidential search for a Supervisor of Network Services for an IT Service Provider in the Phoenix Area. This will be a hands-on player / coach managing a team of 3.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee the maintenance and support of internal network (offices, data centers, VPNs, inter-site connectivity).
- Supervise the access, performance, and integrations between various tools and platforms.
- Manage network vendor relationships, and coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, patches, and issue resolution.
- Participate in security audits and implement best practices to protect internal infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor the network services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for network products and services.
- Oversee infrastructure growth and scalability.
- Evaluate industry trends and advancements to ensure that network solutions and infrastructure remain cutting-edge and efficient.
- Oversee routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless for internal use and interfacing with client networks.
- Manage access, performance, and integrations between tools.
- Ensure all internal systems and networks are monitored for availability and performance.
- Create and maintain SOPs for network systems.
- Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure Teams to optimize networks for applications and systems.
- Manage a team of Network Administrator and Engineers to proactively monitor and respond to internal and client network issues and work network projects.
- Respond to network outages within established SLA's
Additional Responsibilities :
Serve as a mentor for the Support Teams and Network AdministratorsServe as a resource for both client and internal projects as neededMaintain internal firewall rules, access policies, and the segmentation between client and MSP infrastructure.Manage internal VPNs and secure remote access for employees.Maintain network management systems to monitor internal and Client infrastructure.Perform proactive maintenance, updates, and lifecycle management on core systems.Support internal teams (helpdesk, systems, NOC) by maintaining the tools and networks they rely on.Serve as an escalation point for internal and client-facing network related issues.Maintain detailed and up-to-date internal network diagrams and documentation.Manage the internal and client-facing IP space.Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate network issues to clients, peers, and leadership teamsRequirements for the Role :
Professional level IT Certifications, such as : CCNP, SNSP or equivalent.Deep knowledge of networking concepts (L2 / L3, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)Hands-on experience with Cisco Platforms such as Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, Umbrella, etc.Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewallsHands-on experience with SASE platforms such as HarmonySASE,Hands-on experience with NAC such as 802.1x, ACLs, RBAC, etc.Knowledge of automation platforms such as Rewst, Ansible and PostmanFamiliarity with LinuxKnowledge of Windows Server administrationFamiliarity with network monitoring and management tools such as Logic Monitor or PRTGDiagnosis skills for complex technical issues.3-5 years of experience managing and monitoring enterprise, data center and cloud networks3-5 years of leading teams of Network Engineers and Administrators3-5 years of MSP experienceExperience with PSA tools such as Connectwise or AutoTaskInterpersonal skills : such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and client-care.Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quicklyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong documentation and time-management skillsService awareness of all organization's key IT services for which support is being provided.Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.Ability to travel onsite domestically when neededAvailability to work in-office 2-3 days a week
