Summary

The Classroom Aide is responsible for assisting and partnering with the Teacher (and Teacher Aide) in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in a group in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation and Wisconsin Young Star standards. The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Classroom Teacher.

Pay : $16.21 to $16.70 an hour, depending on education.

Qualifications / Requirements for Classroom Aide l

• Documentation of completion of the Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent credit bearing course in Child Development / Early Childhood Education) that is required by Wisconsin Day Care License Requirement or must receive within 6 months of employment
