As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and taxes.
- Implement and maintain accounting software to support AP, AR, and financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure accounting reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP and applicable financial legislation.
- Support quarterly review and year-end audit activities, working closely with external auditors.
- Evaluate current practices and procedures, recommending improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements as needed.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures.
- Become proficient in enterprise resource planning software and stay current with Master Control training requirements.
- Assist with year-end inventory audits.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO on projects and other assigned duties.

Operate all necessary equipment and tools required in accounting operations.Read and interpret financial statements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Detail-oriented and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.Basic understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.High energy individual, proactive, and hands-on.Excellent writing and organizational skills.Must possess a proficient ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.Education, Experience, and Training
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience; managerial accounting experience preferred.Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing company preferred.Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.CPA or CMA preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered.Working Environment
Office environment, seasonally heated and cooled, with minimal noise levels.The position requires sitting, typing, and occasional lifting of objects under 25 pounds.Effective communication skills required, both orally and in writing, in person, telephonically, and via email.Salary Description
