Job Summary
/ Basic Function : Wheaton College’s nursing program is searching for a Professor of Practice in Community Health Nursing for Fall . We seek candidates who share our commitment and passion for educating the nurse of the future to care for others in a meaningful and practical manner that aligns seamlessly with Wheaton College’s mission and its strategic vision for diverse and inclusive excellence. The Community Health Nursing faculty member is a full-time academic appointment within the nursing program. This faculty member is responsible for teaching didactic and / or clinical courses in community health nursing across the baccalaureate curriculum. The faculty role encompasses teaching, student advising, service, and scholarship consistent with the mission and values of Wheaton College and the Nursing Program.
When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
