Job Description :

This position is open to current permanent faculty at UF. The Department Chair of the Information Systems and Operations Management Department provides leadership and oversight of all aspects of departmental functions including research academic programs finances human resources and governance structures. She / he is responsible for the implementation of curriculum in the departmental courses faculty assignments and managing the resources of the department. The Chair works with the Dean and the faculty to ensure an infrastructure and culture that promotes academic career development and facilitates appropriate tenure and promotion of faculty members. The Chair also participates with other chairs in the leadership and policy infrastructures of the college.

The Department Chair facilitates a positive climate to support the work of the faculty and the learning experiences of students.

The Department Chair is a member of the College leadership team and is directly responsible to the Dean.

Expected Salary :

Current salary with administrative supplement while serving as Chair.

Required Qualifications :

Tenured UF faculty member.

Preferred :

Tenured UF faculty member of the ISOM Department.
