R&D Planning Analyst
Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual that will help us continue to develop our R&D role in North and Central America regions.
Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) has emerged as a leader in the global auto industry with Top 3 worldwide and Top 4 U.S. OEM positions. HATCI is the primary North and Central America R&D division within HMG and is expanding capability to support this leadership position. The recently formed HATCI R&D Strategy Team is at the center of this expansion, targeting best-in-industry engineering, research and testing roles.
The newly created R&D Planning Analyst position has a significant role in supporting the President of HATCI R&D in enhancing the operational efficiency of the company. As HATCI grows in personnel and responsibilities, greater emphasis on standard processes, collaboration / communication and efficiency is critical.
This role will work closely with the R&D Strategy Team, Product Strategy Team and Project Management Team to develop and implement overall strategic initiatives for R&D and the various vehicles that HMG sells across Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands.
As this is a new role, candidate may encounter new and potentially ambiguous challenges consistent with a new role and in fully defining this new position.
Note : HATCI is looking for multiple qualified candidates of varying Industry (or similar) experience (1-10 years)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitoring the day-to-day activities of the engineering department, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource utilization.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Support process to manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that products and services meet the required standards.
- Contributing to the development of operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering, production, procurement, and facilities, to ensure seamless operations.
- Identifying and resolving operational open issues promptly and effectively.
- HATCI Standard Processes creation, implementation and maintenance
- Annual Budget strategy and planning
- Governance meeting structure
- Optimized collaboration and communication with internal teams and external corporate partners
- Open issue management
- Travel up to 20% of time maximum possible, including international
