Building SaaS products or fully managed services from scratch. A thorough understanding of public cloud (AWS Azure and Google Cloud) storage services and data storage / data management fundamentals. Deep understanding of how cloud marketplaces work and how to monetize products and services using those Practitioner of working backwards framework for building a new service / feature / functionality. Knowledgeable about modern compute paradigms including Kubernetes containers and micro VMs. 10 - 12 years of industry experience in software product management (preferably in infrastructure / systems software products). 4-year BA / BS mandatory in computer science data science electrical engineering or equivalent technical degree. An MBA degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Summary
NetApp is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join the cloud storage and services product management team to build products solutions and drive strategic initiatives across NetApp first-party and third party cloud storage portfolio that includes Azure NetApp Files FSxN for NetApp ONTAP Google Cloud NetApp Volumes Cloud Volumes ONTAP and NetApp this role you will follow a working backwards from the customer approach to build and launch products and services from scratch partnering with engineering teams sales (pre and post) customer success professional services teams and other stakeholders to deliver products and services that delights customers.
To succeed you must be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset and have a track record of building new cloud businesses from ground up. You must ideate new concepts that can be productized to accelerate revenue growth for the cloud storage business. You must demonstrate a high level of ownership and insist on the highest standards of product quality operational excellence and tech support. You will cut through the noise relentlessly simplify and deliver outstanding results. Prior experience working on enterprise storage especially cloud storage is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new offerings from ideation to launch working with cross-functional teams that include engineering customer success professional services sales and marketing.
- Drive initiatives to bring new workloads to NetApp first-party cloud storage portfolio and help accelerate the migration such workloads from on-premises and other cloud storage services.

Compensation :
The target salary range for this position is 207400 - 309100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidates location qualifications experience and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards reflecting a variety of factors and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance Life Insurance Retirement or Pension Plans Paid Time Off (PTO) various Leave options Performance-Based Incentives employee stock purchase plan and / or restricted stocks (RSUs) with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws regulations and company policies.
