Refugee Health Outreach Specialist (Nashville)
Inspiritus’ Refugee & Immigrant Services team provides support to individuals and families rebuilding their lives in the , guiding them on a path from surviving to thriving. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, we provide quality services to newcomers in and around Savannah, Nashville, Birmingham, and Atlanta. Under the direction of the Refugee Services Program Manager, the Refugee Health Outreach Specialist will provide individualized mental health education and outreach for newly arrived community members. This role conducts RHS-15 screenings, delivers trauma-informed education, and connects participants to culturally appropriate mental health resources.

- Located in : Nashville, TN
- Work Environment : This is a hybrid position
- Local travel is estimated at 20-50%.
- Standard operating hours for Refugee Services is 9 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm. Exact starting and end hours can be discussed and adjusted with direct supervisor.

Responsibilities :
Provide individualized mental health outreach in clients’ primary language, in-person or virtually where applicable. Use of interpreter will be employed otherwise to ensure accessibility and cultural relevance.Administer RHS-15 screenings and guide referrals to clinical servicesDeliver culturally tailored education on trauma, stress, anxiety, and navigating mental health systemsTrack client progress using pre- and post-assessmentsMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with TOR and ORR standardsCollaborate with the Refugee Health Coordinator to support group enrollment and follow-upBuild trust with clients and foster self-directed wellness strategiesParticipate in Inspiritus trainings, team meetings, and conferencesUphold professional boundaries and foster respectful partnerships with clients and colleaguesContribute to writing financial and programmatic funder reports and proposals.Forges mutually respectful partnerships with clients, co-workers, and partners with clear and maintained professional boundaries.Participates in Inspiritus functions, training and conferences related to assigned programs.Conforms with and abides by all external regulations and laws that apply to their job duties as well as internal policies, procedures and instructions.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Qualifications
Qualifications :
Minimum of one year of experience in refugee services, mental health outreach, case management, or related fields.Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience working in culturally diverse environments and providing culturally competent services.Strong communication, organization, and documentation skillsComfort with trauma-informed care and one-on-one client engagementExperience working in a culturally diverse environment and providing culturally competent services.Strong organizational and communication skillsPreferred : Bilingual / Multi-lingual in refugee-spoken language(s)Preferred : Experience administering mental health screenings or assessmentsThe Refugee Health Outreach Specialist role detailed in this description is not a comprehensive list of all duties that may be requested for the successful completion of this role and may garner some circumstantial duties deemed critical to meeting performance goals.
Physical Demands :
