Developer Publications - Car Experience Content Engineer & Editor

Description

You will be responsible for authoring, editing, and maintaining technical documentation related to CarPlay, CarPlay Ultra, and car keys specifications for automotive partners. This role offers opportunities to modernize workflows and contribute to broader developer-facing content. Your responsibilities include :

Partner with the Car Experience engineering team to analyze specifications, research automaker needs, and understand hardware specifications and implementation requirements.
Create content delivery plans, schedules, and compose technical specifications that clearly communicate complex integration concepts.
Edit detailed technical specifications and other content produced by engineers.
Identify opportunities to modernize content workflows and formats to improve efficiency and quality.
Contribute to app development documentation and Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) guidance.

Minimum Qualifications

Passion for learning new technologies and producing accurate, precise technical documentation.

Ability to interpret complex specifications into clear, actionable content.

Excellent writing, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Experience with text markup languages (LaTeX, Markdown, HTML, XML) and SCM environments (Git, Subversion).

Proficiency with macOS and Unix.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in writing or editing requirements documentation.

Familiarity with automotive systems, hardware integration, and accessory design.

Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and UX / UI design principles.

Note : The base pay range for this role is $139,500 to $258,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
