The position is for a full-time Ophthalmology Physician at the Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic, which opens in June 2024, focusing on providing comprehensive eye care and surgical services. Full-time ophthalmology Comprehensive or Glaucoma positions are available at the Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic (part of the Northern California Health Care System). Outstanding anterior segment comprehensive MD surgical skills required (Glaucoma Fellowship training optional but welcome), as this clinic has 2 Eye MD positions. Stockton VA is part of the NorCal VA system, with Retina / Cornea specialists at the Sacramento VA Hospital and Glaucoma specialist at the Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic. The Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic is state of the art and brand new, opening in June 2024. Surgery will be performed at a private contracted Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Stockton area. The Stockton VA Eye Clinic will include a team of 2 full time MD s, 2 full time OD s, 4 Eye Techs, and 2 nurses. The Stockton VA facility is a modern full-service outpatient clinic but does not have an Emergency Department. The position provides outstanding surgical volume as an attending, with potential for resident supervision / teaching at Martinez VA or Sacramento VA if desired. There is dedicated technician support, eye nurse support, as well as on-site YAG, Argon and SLT lasers, IOL Master Biometry, Visual Field testing, fundus imaging, optometry, and an on-site optical shop.
