Position Overview

The Kendra Scott Foundation (KSF) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Yellow Library Operations Specialist to manage operational logistics and communications for the KSF Yellow Library program for a portion of the 2025-2026 academic school year. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, shipping coordination experience, and a passion for literacy and community impact.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead on all operational communication for up to 30 Yellow Library openings including but not limited to shipping logistics (coordination between schools, shipping companies, etc.),
  • Work with First Book, a key partner of the Yellow Library program, to distribute up to 30 First Book Marketplace Gift Cards to educators
  • Manage inventory and vendor communications related to Yellow Library swag, including printers, sticker producers, and promotional item suppliers for up to 30 Yellow Libraries.
  • Support on partner-funded Yellow Library openings, including coordinating custom co-branded program elements, specialized needs tailored to each partner.
  • Facilitate the payout of up to 30 Yellow Library Literacy Grants during the 2025-2026 school year
  • As needed, provided additional operational support for Kendra Scott Foundation programs, and special projects including but not limited to the Kendra Cares program, special events, and other initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Proven experience in operations
  • Experience managing national shipping logistics or similar fulfillment processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to pivot quickly and efficiently
  • Hyper organized
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience working with or within a nonprofit organization, particularly in education / literacy
  • Experience working within school systems
  • Work Structure

  • Hybrid preferred. Candidates ideally based in or near Austin, TX or Dallas, TX, with availability for in-person meetings or events.
