Description :
This internship will focus on semiconductor test interconnect R&D. As part of the R&D Engineering team, you will complete electrical performance analyses, drive electrical testing, and characterization, and create reports for interconnects used in semiconductor testing. Other responsibilities may involve conducting tests, collecting data, and collaborating with the design and applications team to assess designs. Other projects may include electronic system design and assembly.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop new test interconnects
- Work with the lab to validate interconnect technology, ensure complete reports are created and filed for future use.
- Use 3D electromagnetic field solver such as CST Microwave Studio or Ansys HFSS to analyze RF performance of interconnect solutions
- Assist the team in designing and testing electronic systems such as customized process controllers
Requirements :
Solid understanding of transmission line theory, impedance matching, crosstalk, and reflection.Comfortable with hands-on testing and validation of electrical components such as test socketsCompetence with Microsoft Office applications to create reports and presentationsUnderstand electrical schematics and wiring diagramsAdditional Skills Preferred (but not required) :
Experience with 3D EM field solvers such as Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave StudioFamiliarity with high-speed signal behavior in PCB and interconnectsExperience with vector network analyzers (VNA) to measure losses and crosstalk in PCB's or other structuresEmbedded controllers and programming them (Arduino, C+, etc)
